Money: the thing that makes the world go round. In today's world people want things fast, they want them cheap, and they want them done exactly how they envision them. Our world relies heavily on the senses when it comes to selling business. Looks, smell, sound, touch, and even taste are all key elements when it comes to selling a product to a client, even before you meet them sometimes. These elements rely on how much a company actually puts into them.

Sensory selling has a lot to do with the arts, and art related fields. Think of your favorite movie, your favorite meal, your favorite perfume, and even your favorite clothing line. All rely on sensory selling. A corporate office is no difference. Selling is typically a businesses main goal, how they go about doing that is all up to the company. In the world today, people want to be WOW'd. They want visuals, flyers, 3D, websites, etc. to really show the product they are potentially buying. When it comes to million dollar contracts, you need to be top dog on the presenting side. That's where your artistic fields come in.

So many people say the artistic fields are a waste of time and money; but that is 100% wrong. These people who have a keen eye for detail are what's going to help sell the companies product, the companies plan, or whatever else the company is gonna sell. When that product is still in the developing stage, the focus on prepping design to get investors is so important. Commercials, 3D made shorts of the product, Graphically designed Info graphics, and so on. Without the design phase and a good sales team, the product would be nothing more than a CAD design on paper. Yes, the engineers make the amazing product, but the designers make it even more desirable with their artistic touches.

Sensory selling and the arts go hand in hand. Creating a pleasant sight, sound, touch, smell, and even taste can lead to a successful deal. Visual components are the most important in today's corporate world, with sound shortly behind, but smell, touch, and taste being equally important. In the car industry, some may say visual, sound, and smell are the most important for that field; but for a food enterprise, taste, smell, and visuals may be the most important. Military, sign, touch, and sound may be the most important. Knowing your industry, and knowing what effects people before even they know it is a key component in letting the artistic fields work in your favor.

Careers in the arts aren't a waste of time and money. In fact, it's a wise investment to have a strong source of the arts in a company to have a strong arsenal of people who envision the world in a creative way.

Sincerely,
